The School Board encourages public participation at regular meetings. The order of business of any regular meeting shall include opportunities for the public to address the School Board as provided in School Board Policy 1110. Please refer to the policy for specific procedures for Public Hearings and the Public Comment portions of the agenda.
Following is the procedure by which the public may speak before the School Board:
Public comment will be accepted during the business meeting. Citizens requesting to speak before the Board will be given the opportunity to comment in person at the appropriate time.
Citizens may also submit their comments via the online form found at https://tinyurl.com/CCPS1109Comments. Comments submitted via the online form will be distributed to the Board, made available for public inspection prior to the start of the meeting, and included as an addendum to the meeting minutes. Citizens wishing to address the Board in person during the regularly-scheduled comment periods are asked to contact the Clerk’s office no later than 2 p.m. on Nov. 9. The online comment form will also close at this time. Citizens may also sign up to speak in person by checking in with the Board clerk prior to the start of the meeting.
The materials for this agenda item were updated at 2:00 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2021 as follows: recent positive developments on the plans for the Falling Creek Middle School site have enabled a reallocation of funds from the FCMS Megatrailers (initially included in the memo) to other priorities, including support for the design and construction of the new middle school.
