The following revisions and additions were made to Board Docs on August 7, 2017 at approximately 5:16 p.m.:

 

  1. The meeting agenda was revised to include Memo #095-17: Adoption of AP Social Studies Textbooks, which was added as item 2.10 to the Consent Agenda
  2. Draft Minutes for the June 27, 2017 Work Session were added to Item 2.02 of the Consent Agenda: Approval of the Minutes
  3. Item 2.04 of the Consent Agenda, Memo #081-17: Recommended Personnel Actions, was revised to correct an error reflecting the incorrect school placement of a new employee
  4. Item 2.05 of the Consent Agenda, Memo #086-17: FY2018 - Acceptance of Grants, was revised to include an additional grant

The following revisions were made to Board Docs on August 8, 2017 at approximately 2:56 p.m.:

 

  1. Item 2.04 of the Consent Agenda, Memo #081-17: Recommended Personnel Actions, was revised to address spacing issues and improve readability.  No substantive changes were made.
  2. Item 2.05 of the Consent Agenda, Memo #086-17: FY2018 - Acceptance of New Grants, was revised to address spacing issues and improve readability.  No substantive changes were made.
  3. Item 2.09 of the Consent Agenda, Memo #091-17: Appointment of Members to Advisory Committees, was revised to include the addition of a new appointee to the School Health Advisory Board.  The current roster with recommended personnel additions was added as ATTACHMENT C, and the Special Education Advisory Committee roster was amended to ATTACHMENT D.
  4. Item 3.02 of the Superintendent's Reports, End of School Year Update, was revised to fix a non-substantive typo on slide 5.

The School Board encourages public participation at regular meetings. The order of business of any regular meeting shall include opportunities for the public to address the School Board as provided in School Board Policy 1110. Please refer to the policy for specific procedures for Public Hearings, Action Items, and the Public Comment portion of the agenda.

Following is the procedure by which the public may speak before the School Board:

Persons wishing to be heard on action items must notify the Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting; they will be heard when each item is considered. Persons who have requested to offer comment on subjects related to Chesterfield County Public Schools not a subject for public hearing and not an action item will be heard during the specified public comment period of the meeting. 

Persons wishing to speak during the Public Comment Period are asked to notify the Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting and to provide the specific subject of the schools-related comments to be offered. Individuals shall limit their comments to three minutes. The Chairman may further limit the time allotted to speakers and the number of speakers in order to ensure the orderly conduct of the meeting and the conclusion of the meeting at a reasonable time. When limiting the number of speakers, the Chairman shall give priority to those who did not speak during the public comment period of the immediately previous meeting.
